Introduction
The African Development Forum 2024 will focus on innovative new strategies for development in Africa in the framework of the current transitions and challenges. Over the past years, significant effort has been put into Africa's development on multiple fronts, ranging from economic growth to social and political stabilization. This determination has seen credible results and promoted Africa's stance in the international arena. The forum will highlight best practices of countries in Africa of implementing successful development strategies and it aims to create new initiatives, which will strengthen African development in specific countries and for the continent as a whole.
The Forum will place in Berlin from March 6th - 9th, 2024 and will address contemporary issues facing Africa regionally and internationally offering insightful discussion and debates on diverse themes. Among others the forum will focus on topics such as: sustainable tourism, sustainable investments, cultural diplomacy and nation branding being used as a development tool for attracting investment to Africa, China’s role in the future development, the issues of foreign aid, African Diaspora and their potential for uniting and mobilising for the future of Africa, the potential for renewable energies in Africa, and the future of African regional and international integration.
Furthermore, the forum will explore the role of the African Union as well as civil societies in enhancing interregional relations within Africa and what prospects this holds for its future international image and bargaining power.
The Forum also serves as a platform for African delegates to grow their experience, meet potential partners and advance their career. The forum is also designed to give Insights on current opportunities in various sectors of the business world, to inspire and engage delegates with speakers and other stakeholders and to transform into an “African Growth in Action”.
Upon its conclusion, the Forum will publish a report based on the keynote speeches and suggestions from all speakers and delegates, which will be delivered to the international community.

Speakers during the forum will include leading politicians, senior diplomats, governmental officials, senior academics, journalists, and celebrated artists. Forum Locations
Based in Berlin, the conference will be hosted at ICD House of Arts & Culture and in a number of important political, historic, and cultural locations across the city.

Participant Papers »
The Conference Committee encourages academic research and analysis of issues related to the goals of the Conference. The Conference Committee would therefore like to welcome the participants of the conference to submit a paper they would like to be considered for presentation at the conference as well as being included in the proposal document that will be issued following the conference and will be sent to all governments and leaders of the international community.
